Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5 spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

All manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the form and style as outlined in the American Psychological Association Publication Manual (7th ed.). Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically by using the Research in Social Sciences and Technology online submission system. Research in Social Sciences and Technology (RESSAT) is an internationally recognized double-blind peer-reviewed electronic journal. 

Manuscript must align with the mission and purpose of the Journal.
Authors must adhere to the guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th Ed).
Manuscripts must be submitted as Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) and must be 1.5 spaced using a 12-point font in Times New Roman; employ italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
Recommended manuscript length is 2500 to 8000 words, including references.
Include an abstract of 300 words or less.
Include a title page with author/s contact information. If the manuscript has more than one author, please indicate which author is acting as the contact person.
Include a statement indicating that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Paper copies will not be accepted.

-The APA style calls for three kinds of information to be included in in-text citations. 

-The author's last name and the work's date of publication must always appear, and these items must match exactly the corresponding entry in the references list. 

-The third kind of information, the page number, appears only in a citation to a direct quotation.

Article Processing Charge

To cover the cost for providing our high-quality publishing service and free access to readers, authors pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts accepted after peer-review. As of 01.01.2021, the APC is 400 USD. There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges, and no surcharges based on the length of an article, figures or supplementary data. Editorial items (Editorials, Corrections, Additions, Retractions, Letters, Comments, etc.) are published free of charge.
